Testimonial software, compared honestly
Eight tools that do roughly the same job, with the pricing read from each vendor’s own page on 1-2 September 2026 and re-checked on 9 September 2026 rather than repeated from a listicle. Every page below names the thing that competitor does better than Goodword, because a comparison that never concedes anything is an advert.
The short version: Goodword does not cap testimonials, does not meter widget views, and includes review structured data on its free plan. It also cannot record or host video, has no audio testimonials, and sends no emails. If those matter to you, one of the tools below is the right answer.
What each one beats us at, and what it costs you
Every tool here does something better than Goodword. Below is that thing, stated plainly, next to the price you pay for it, taken from their own pricing page rather than inferred.
- Senjawins at
The broadest toolkit: social images, video reels, case-study drafts. Export is on the free plan too.
the trade Free stops at 15 testimonials, and rich snippets are on the Pro plan, two tiers up from the $29 Starter.
- Testimonial.towins at
One-tap video recording on a phone, and the name people know.
the trade Free is two videos and ten text. Google rich snippets are on Ultimate, their top tier, not the $25 Starter.
- Famewallwins at
The best-value schema in this list: review snippet markup on the $12 Standard plan, plus audio testimonials nobody else offers.
the trade Free stops at 10 testimonials, so the schema still costs $12/mo where ours costs nothing.
- Shapowins at
Aggregating praise you already have, and unlimited widget impressions on both free and paid.
the trade Free stops at 10 testimonials, and their pricing page does not mention review schema at all.
- Trustmarywins at
Surveys, NPS and CRM integration. A feedback programme rather than a wall.
the trade Widget views are metered at every tier: 200/mo free, 5,000 on the $26 plan, 25,000 on Business.
- Endorsalwins at
SMS chasing on top of email, which Goodword's own email automation does not match.
the trade $39/mo, and traffic is metered: 1,000 monthly visitors free, 2,500 on Starter.
- Shoutout.iowins at
The simplest wall here, and the cheapest paid entry at $15/mo.
the trade There is no free plan at all, so the wall costs money from the first day.
- Vocal Videowins at
Turns a phone recording into an edited, subtitled, branded video. Nothing else here does.
the trade Free is five videos, and the Essential plan is $99/mo billed yearly. It is a video product, not a text wall.
All eight cap their free plan or have none. Not one of them includes review schema on it.
Senja stops at 15, Famewall and Shapo at 10, Testimonial.to at two videos and ten text, Vocal Video at five videos, Trustmary at five survey responses, Endorsal at 100 contacts and 1,000 monthly visitors, and Shoutout.io has no free plan at all. Review schema is on Senja's Pro, Testimonial.to's Ultimate, Famewall's $12 Standard and Trustmary's paid tiers. Goodword has no testimonial, form, widget or view limit, and emits Review and AggregateRating markup on the free plan, because storing text and serving a 3.5KB cached script costs us almost nothing. We charge for invitation emails, which cost us money every send.
Where this stops: five of the eight record and host video and we only link to it. Famewall's schema at $12/mo is the best value in the field if you are paying anyway, Senja gives you export on free as we do, and Shapo does not meter impressions either. If video is the job, Vocal Video and Testimonial.to are better tools, and every comparison page here says so.
All comparisons
Testimonial collection and social proof
Goodword vs Senja
The broadest toolkit in the category: collection, imports, widgets, social images, video reels and AI case studies.
Where Senja wins: Breadth. If you want testimonials turned into social images, video reels and case-study drafts as well as widgets, Senja does more out of the box than anything else here.
Video-first testimonial collection
Goodword vs Testimonial.to
The best-known name in the category, organised around video and per-client Spaces.
Where Testimonial.to wins: Video, and name recognition. If a customer needs to record a video testimonial on their phone in one tap, this is the product the category is built around.
Affordable testimonial walls
Goodword vs Famewall
The cheapest credible entry point in the category at $12/mo, and the only one here with first-class audio testimonials.
Where Famewall wins: Price per feature, and audio. $12/mo buys unlimited testimonials, and audio testimonials are a real format that almost nobody else supports properly.
Review aggregation and testimonial widgets
Goodword vs Shapo
Import-led: pulls existing reviews from 20+ platforms and displays them, with the simplest two-plan pricing in the category.
Where Shapo wins: Aggregation and simplicity. If your praise already lives on Google, Capterra or social, Shapo's imports plus two-line pricing is the least friction of anything here.
Reviews, surveys and feedback platform
Goodword vs Trustmary
An upmarket feedback platform: surveys, NPS, CRM integrations and A/B testing, priced by widget views with separately-charged add-ons.
Where Trustmary wins: Structured feedback programmes. Surveys, NPS, HubSpot and Pipedrive integration and conversion experiments are real capabilities that a widget tool does not have.
Automated review collection
Goodword vs Endorsal
Automation-first: email and SMS review requests, FOMO popups, priced on contacts, monthly visitors and video counts at the same time.
Where Endorsal wins: SMS chasing and FOMO popups. Endorsal automates the asking by email and text; Goodword now automates it by email too, but has no SMS channel and no popups.
One-time-payment testimonial walls
Goodword vs Shoutout.io
The anti-subscription option: a one-off $199 lifetime licence instead of a monthly bill, with no view metering.
Where Shoutout.io wins: Total cost over time. If you will still be running the same wall in five years, paying once is arithmetically hard to argue with.
Video testimonial production
Goodword vs Vocal Video
The most video-native product in the category: it collects raw recordings and automatically edits them into branded, subtitled videos.
Where Vocal Video wins: Finished video. Nothing else here turns a customer's phone recording into a multi-scene, subtitled, branded video without a human editor.
Free plans and entry prices at a glance
Read from each vendor’s own pricing page. Vocal Video is absent because its pricing page redirected to its homepage when checked, and a guess would be worse than a gap.

Comparison tables are a poor substitute for ten minutes with the product. The free plan has no cap and no card, so there is nothing to undo if it turns out not to suit you.
